Endometriosis and Pregnancy

Many women who are diagnosed with endometriosis fear that they will never be able to have a baby. While endometriosis can make getting pregnant more difficult, treatment makes it more likely that a woman with endometriosis will conceive.

If you have been diagnosed with endometriosis and are concerned about the possibility of infertility, talk with your doctor about your best treatment options. While some women with endometriosis will benefit from prescription medications, others will need surgery.

On a positive note, research shows that approximately 80 percent of all women with endometriosis will have no problems conceiving.
